A highlight of Colin’s career at Laurentide was to assist a client to obtain finance for his family business, soon after his father had passed away suddenly. The father had run the company and the son was 21 years old, had taken over the business and was left with the responsibility of financing a small truck that his father had purchased just prior to his passing. After spending a number of hours with both he and his mother, Colin submitted the finance application; the loan was approved and completed successfully.
Since 1997, when that loan was approved, the son has grown the family business into a large, profitable operation with the son never forgetting the assistance Colin gave him. The professional relationship has been ongoing, and his company is now one of Colin’s largest clients.
